Jay Slack:

Jay Slack is a seasoned expert in taste perception with a passion for advancing sugar reduction. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Cincinnati, where he completed a thesis on G-protein Signalling Pathways in Heart and Skeletal Muscle. Jay’s breadth of knowledge has been honed through his 23 years of experience at Givaudan.
In his current role, Jay is entrusted with the strategic planning and execution of foundational research projects that feed Givaudan’s long-term pipeline. He leads a dedicated research team and fosters strategic external collaborations to complement the Company’s internal research capabilities.
His primary focus is on taste modulation and other key research areas that play an important role in supporting Givaudan’s long-term initiatives, particularly when it comes to health and wellness.
With his extensive expertise in sweet perception, Jay will help you uncover the foundations of satisfying sugar-reduced experiences.
