Investor Visit - A Taste of the Orient

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is our pleasure to invite you on yet another voyage of olfactive and gustative discovery, this time to the Far East to visit our creation, technology and production centres in Shanghai and Singapore.

Asia Pacific is the fastest growing market, representing around 20% of Givaudan’s sales. Because of the importance of this market, Givaudan has undertaken several key expansion projects, in Shanghai and Singapore but also in Bangalore, India, and Fukuroi, Japan. As a result of global traveling, exotic Asian scents and especially flavours are now very popular, meaning that Givaudan’s expertise in this area is much in demand.

On Tuesday 2nd of November we would like to invite you to our state of the art creation and production facilities in Shanghai were we would like give you an overview of the Asian and Chinese markets. After lunch we will take you around the creative and technology centre to offer you a sensory experience of Asia.

On Wednesday 3rd of November you are free to travel to Singapore. Where we will meet on Thursday 4th of November to tour our facilities in Singapore which as well as a large creation centre includes our new Technical Development Centre, the first of its kind in this region.

Hotel rooms have been blocked for this event. In Shanghai they need to be be reserved directly by you, in Singapore we will do this on your request. You will find information on the hotels as well as a complete agenda and registration form attached. Please assist us with our preparations by completing and returning the enclosed registration form by 28 September 2004.
