SWEOAT® flour: a sustainable oat ingredient with unique properties
Oat flour enables you to create multi-sensory food experiences using a recognisable ingredient that consumers trust.
Givaudan’s clean label SWEOAT® oat flours are produced entirely from de-hulled and heat-treated oat kernels, using a natural and minimal process that keeps the macromolecules intact.
This innovative method gives our oat flours exceptionally good capabilities in four key areas:
- Emulsification: important for bakery, beverages and ice cream
- Water binding: needed in meat alternatives, bakery, soups and sauces.
- Gelation: important for sauces and dairy alternatives
- Foaming capabilities: to add texture and visual appeal to beverages and desserts.
Oat flour is a tasty substitute for pea protein in plant-based smoothies.
