The mission of our corporate Legal Affairs team, and its worldwide network, is to protect Givaudan's tangible and intangibles assets and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Among our varied duties, we advise the business and corporate functions in legal matters. It sounds simple – but it is actually very complex and challenging: the technical boundaries of our global industry are moving fast, so the legal backdrop changes and develops rapidly to keep pace. We also negotiate and produce contractual documents and draft and review many other types of legally-relevant documents; we take steps to prevent litigation, we handle diverse live litigation and issue procedures and guidelines.
To underpin all of this, we monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments significant to Givaudan's business, defend our intellectual property rights and also administer Givaudan's corporate compliance programme.
The key roles and jobs in our Legal Affairs organisation include:
- Legal advice
- Contracts and other legal documents
- Claims and litigation
- Regulatory filings, procedures and guidelines
